Youth Clubs

The Garforth School Partnership Trust deliver a number of youth work projects based at Garforth Academy.

V-Involved

A volunteer scheme for young people aged 16-18. Young people undertake 50 hours of volunteering on agreed projects and receive a nationally recognised V-involved certificate. Students in the past have volunteered to help on the Academy Farm, the SPT shop, Brownies, Cubs and other local voluntary groups

Year 9 upwards

Friday Night Cafe - 7 - 9pm term time. The 6th form cafe is open for coffees, toast, cold drinks and other snacks. Games and music available or just come along and sit and chat with friends.

Friday Night Live - every term in the Main School Hall, a chance for local young bands to play live. Refreshments available

Arts Live - An evening of arts based activities including dance, music and drama

Holiday Programme

We run a popular holiday programme for young people in Y6 and upwards. Activities include trips out - canoeing, archery, Doncaster Dome, paintballing, golf, art and crafts, Forensic Science Day, Forbidden Corner and much more. Young people are encouraged to join the Young Peoples's Forum to help plan the activities. Some free places are available for young people on FSM. in care or who have caring responsibilities for a relative
