Entry Guidance:

BTEC Level 3: Subsidiary Diploma/Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.

 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C, or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics.

BTEC Level 3

 

Six core units to include:

 

Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction and the Built Environment

Sustainable Construction

Mathematics in Construction and the Built Environment

Science and Materials in Construction

Construction Technology and Design in Construction and the Built Environment

Building Technology in Construction.

 

Optional Units to Include:

 

Measuring, Estimating and Tendering processes

Surveying in Construction and Civil Engineering

Building Surveying in Construction

Project Management in Construction

Building Regulations and Control in Construction

 

Methods of Assessment:

No final written exam to be taken. Internally/Externally assessed portfolio, completion of theory units showing IT skills, Mathematics, English, Graphics and Artwork.
