Entry Guidance:
Level 2 Courses.
Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying (Dip 00)
Level 2 Diploma in Site Joinery (Dip 00)
Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating (Dip 00)
Level 2 Technical Courses.
City and Guilds Certificate in Plumbing (6129)
City and Guilds Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology (2330)
5 GCSEs or equivalent grades at D or above.
These qualifications are available to anyone and are free from any barriers that restrict access and progression. However, we select learners with integrity to follow any of the above courses. These courses will only run if a sufficient number of students express an interest.
Syllabus Outline:
Level 2 Diplomas
The Level 2 Diplomas cover six core units which include:
Carrying out safe working practices in Construction
Knowledge and Information, Quantities and Communicating with others
Building Methods and Construction Technology
Nine more units based around practical exercises in each craft.
Level 2 Technical Courses

- systems, components, installation and testing.
Methods of Assessment:
Level 2 Diplomas / Technical Courses
Assessment is demonstrated through oral examination, practical examination, written examination and portfolio coursework, with an on-line knowledge test as a final completion.
